Akkadian
Akkadian language, also spelled Accadian, also called Assyro-Babylonian, extinct Semitic language of the Northern Peripheral group, spoken in Mesopotamia from the 3rd to the 1st millennium bce.

Cuneiform
Cuneiform script is one of the earliest known systems of writing, distinguished by its wedge-shaped marks on clay tablets, made by means of a blunt reed for a stylus. The name cuneiform itself simply means “wedge shaped”, from the Latin cuneus “wedge” and forma “shape,” and came into English usage probably from Old French cunéiforme.
Cuneiform was the most widespread and historically significant writing system in the ancient Middle East. Its active history comprised the last three millennia bce, its long development and geographic expansion involved numerous successive cultures and languages…
